For the record, though, there's a difference between the roles of a journalist, in the usual meaning, and a COLUMNIST, which is what he is (and I am). A reporter is supposed to report the facts, not interpret or comment on them. A columnist gets paid for having an opinion, and he's given his.
You don't have to agree--he'd probably rather you didn't, because it generates comment and letters--but you shouldn't dismiss his newspaper or his industry because you don't. |
