It's a shame what CBS WON'T cover today... (not spoiler)DrPete

What a pity that today's stage will get 5 minutes of CBS's attention, and I'm guessing it'll be the Lance Armstrong show like it was last Sunday. What people don't see is the depth of the TDF, all the little side plots and jersey battles going on, people leaving their souls on the road like we saw in the mountain stages and in the TTs. It's a shame that names like Thor Hushovd, Laurent Jalabert, and Santiago Botero will be as unknown in America tonight as they were this morning...

I'm sure we'll learn more about the Lincoln Navigator on CBS than we will about the real nitty-gritty of the Tour...
In fairness to CBS...TJeanloz

It's not like there's a whole lot to show on the last stage of the Tour. Some champagne, some practical jokes- but I'm not really sure that's what I want joe public to see. The shame was that they didn't show the Ventoux as they should have, but in place of the last stage, I'd just as soon see a human-interest review of the Tour, showing the whole scope of the three week race.
Oh, they'll cover Ventoux...DrPete

I'm sure they will cover Ventoux in today's recap, but it'll sound something like "Lance built up his lead and 2 other guys finished ahead of him."

I'm sure they'll follow the same form as last week, spending 3-5 minutes (if that long) on each stage.

But you're right, guys riding in their socks might not be the best way to showcase the hardships of the TDF. :)

So far they have given a lot of time to Botero, some to JaJa, some to Boogerd, some to Beloki, Galdeano, etc.... It's not that bad after all.... short, but not bad.
I agreeDrPete

I was pleasantly surprised that the lesser names of the Tour got some air time as well. Not much, but you're right--It's a start...
