Help with paint chips on frame...MVN
Jul 26, 2002 7:17 PM
I just got a GT ZR 3.0 frame (Lotto colors)and it has some chips in the paint on the top tube. By the way, I knew it had the chips when I bought it (got a great price b/c of it). It's a 7005 aluminum frame. What kind of paint should I use, enamel or acrylic? I'm thinking enamel. On the advice of my LBS guy I bought some paint pens (enamel and acrylic) but I'm not sure which one to use. Also going to put nail clear coat on it. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.
Three common solutionsKerry

In no particular order, people fix paint chips with:

1. Automotive touch-up paint
2. Model paint (like Testers)
3. Fingernail polish.

All are available in a huge selection of colors and are pretty cheap in the small quantities you need.
