hello again..

my Polar HRM battery is getting low. i really dont want to send it back to polar so late in the season.

Do any of you all change your Polar batteries? If so any tricks, secrets or things i should be aware of. OR should I not take the chance and just send it back?

Thanks in advance for your help!

It took 2 1/2 weeks turnaround time to get a new battery put in my M91 (less than 6 months old) by Polar. I couldn't find a store that carries Polar that would do it. If you can ride out the season with it I'd do that
Good luck

There is a little square shaped rubber seal that fits into a groove on the body that you should be careful not to disturb but other than that it's cake.

Yep, that would be a pain. Also, don't be shy about 'ripping out' the little brass-looking holder that seems to clamp down on the battery. It takes seemingly excessice force. If I remember right, you have to get out the whole thing first, then spring loose the battery. Overall, no biggie!
