riding and resting in Napa, CAgregg

Okay, it wasn't road riding, but a good ride nonetheless.

Skyline Park in Napa is the old site for the World Cup race (before it moved to Domaine Chandon) which is no longer a stop on the circuit. I hadn't ridden here since I raced it back in '98. As I remember it, it is basically the same, rocky in parts but nothing too extreme. A gentle fire road climb ends at Lake Marie:

Certain sections of the trail are challenging. My "old lady" on her new ride:

called the Cedar Gables Inn. An "Old English" style house full of ambience.

You can eat your breakfast in here:

how do you post more than one pic at a time?
using a bit of HTML codegregg

to post multiple pics you have to put the following:

<img src="internet location of your image here">

Where internet location equals something like...

or something similar. You can use the built in photo upload feature that we have, and instead of posting the url in the box, post it inside the img src tag.
Great, thanks. This is good to know!!!! NMtronracer

and yes, we actually did go inside a few wineries.

A nice, relaxing weekend. And a great place to ride. Next time I'll take the road bike.

(p.s. Brannan's in Calistoga is a great place for dinner)

Did you stop in at Palisades Bike Shop?SnowBlind

It is right behind Brannons and Boskos.
Good Shop.

It's my favorite jersey. Good shop. Small, kinda dirty, run by real cyclists - all telltale signs of a good shop.

Me too, in fact I am wearing it today.
Tends to shift around a bit though, not as close fitting as the Castelli's.
No, but I'll remember that...gregg

...next time I'm up there (hope to go to Bogg's sometime this year).

I did pass by a shop called Bicycle Trax in downtown Napa, but didn't pop in. (which is uncharacteristic of me).
Please tell me you didn't eat Fluffy?!? (nm)Kristin
