Good deed for the day....jagiger

I was cruising along on a nice gentile downhill stretch where I'm going along at a good pace. I'm getting to a stop sign that I'd blow off if no is there. But as luck would have it, a car pulls in ahead of me, so I slow it down. A second car pulls in behind the first & just cuts in behind the first (so much for road etiquette).

Anyway as I'm going thru the intersection, I hear "...help me, help me...". At first I thought some was hurt or maybe their house was on fire. Finally, I look over & this old man is lying on the grass in his front yard. I cruise in & ask if he is ok or should I call someone for help. Luckily, he's ok, but dazed & glad to have someone come by to give him a hand. I helped him up & in awhile, he got his bearings again. A friend (elder women) saw us & pulled in. Together, we helped him into his house. She stayed to keep him company. They both were grateful for my help. It felt good to be able to do something.

The strange thing is that I've only taken that road 3 times & I've helped someone 2 out of three times now. The other time was someone with a flat tire.

Sounds like you're a cycling Super-hero. You should change your handle from jagiger to super-wheels or something of the like. Hey we need a superhero in the cycling world. Lance is good, but we need a superhuman cyclist.

Any ideas?

The RBR bestows upon jagiger the St George Medallion for Bicycle Ambassadorship.

This rare honor only is awarded to those demonstrating the highest standards in cycling. Wear it with pride.

The front depicts St. George as a Knight on horseback (symbolizing a cyclist) in a battle with a dragon (symbolizing mortal dangers to mankind) where St. George rescues the person in distress. The reverse depicts an old sailing ship (symbolizing the SAG wagon). Several figures on it ~ an angel (symbolizing jagiger), a figure with a halo (Madonna del Ghisallo, the Patron Saint of Cyclists), two figures in the boat (symbolizing the rescued cyclists and people in dire need). Waves (symbolizing the long road ahead, and a scroll (symbolizing Doug Sloan's RBR pact).

I use to have a St. Christopher medal...but I don't know where it is. Actually, i think he got kicked out of the club (sainthood). Anyway, I could use something (e.g.rabbit's foot) to ward off road dangers, as I've been getting cut off alot lately.
