Isn't CBS covering Sunday's stage?tirider

And what time is it on (pacific)? My understanding is that OLN will do the standard rebroadcast later in the day. I have a sick feeling CBS will be like the ESPN coverage with waving American flags and lots of music and another tale of Lance's cancer. Hopefully we can see just a bit of Lance on the final climb

Thanks. CBS isn't even covering it live. Great. Guess I'll be up at the crack of dawn listening on my computer.

I work weekends, I can't even listen to it!
I do check the newsflashes every few minutes, but it just isn't the same. :-(

CBS just plain sucks they have cut the Stage down to 1 hour here in the Bay Area. I guess they had to make room for the 2 hours of paid programing before the stage. It was really a good thing because I really didn't know I could not live without Orange Clean until today. Why don't they just leave things well enough alone.

Yeah, 1 hour to recap the entire tour. 7 minutes spent on Sunday's stage. Brilliant.

However, it does have some things OLN could incorporate into its coverage:
-better polos for phill and crew (get rid of those horrible blue oln shirts)
-for some reason it looks better, even coverage of the same thing I have seen on oln, the color and cripness look much better
-better opening song
-better interviews and prerace/postrace footage
-overall more professional presentation

Yet, none of this makes up for CBS's complete lack of decent race coverage.

Oh, well, maybe my grandma will get a kick out of it...

OLN is vastly better. It's easy to find fault with OLN's coverage, and I'm not saying that you're wrong to do so, but basically I think that OLN is doing a decent job of covering the Tour as a bike race--each day you get a pretty good sense of how the stage unfolds and you're left with a pretty good sense of how the race is unfolding. I don't know what CBS is shooting for, but the little sliver we got of Sunday's stage was all but pointless, I thought. I think Velo News had a line about past tour coverage as something like a travel log on sunflowers set to muzak (forgive me if I've botched the quote)--seems to fit CBS well enough.
