Anyone ever been to this? Anyone going tomorrow?

I'm thinking about it, but wondering if it's worth cutting my morning ride short to make the drive from PG...just to be a spectator.
Hmmm, might be fun to watch...Lon Norder

Maybe I'll hit Soquel Demo Forrest on the way there. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. Is that the place with the giant artichoke?
That's too far-rideslikeagirl

The big 'choke is in Castroville - about another 15 miles south of Watsonville.

Ya know, all those 'ville's sound alike. ;-)

Soquel Demo Forrest? What's that?
you aren't a mountain biker, are you?mr_spin

Demo is one of the great places on earth for mountain biking. Lots and lots of rare singletrack, a lot of it quite technical. And practically the whole thing is a big redwood grove. It's also one of the few places on earth where mountain bikers are generally loved, not feared. It's Shangri-La!

That might be enough to make me convert!

Actually, Fort Ord is the roadie equivalent...miles of paved roads that have been permanently closed to cars. It's a beautiful thing- I can't believe it took me over a year to check it out!
