|I've been using sucrose in my recovery drinks and now decided to use something with a higher glycemic index, sucrose is only moderate. Do you know where I could buy glucose, or a drink containing glucose?

|Extran drink boxes are basically glucose syrup. If you go with the more economical powder the trick is to mix half strength which yields the same concentration as the drink boxes.|

|I have diabetes, so I used to carry tubes of glucose around that looked like small tubes of toothpaste. And they tasted nasty, with that cough-drop-cherry taste. Glucose is supposed to be some percentage faster for your body to utilize, but I have since switched to carrying Gu or Clif Shots, which are a little more palatable.
They probably still sell those glucose tubes (white with red lettering, called "Gluco-Fast" or something) in pharmacies near all the rest of the diabetes junk. There are also "Gluco-Tabs" that are chalky squares (orange flavor) that you might consider mashing up and adding to a drink.
