|I must say I agree with you. I understand the importance of the symbol and ritual of flag worship for some Americans in recent times but I am a little sick of flags for profit or flags laying in the gutter of the road. I remember a redneck in Boulder, Colorado trying to kick the crap out of me for wearing a shirt with stars and stripes on it back in 1968. "Boy get your long hair off of my flag!!" I guess things have come full circle. Most of the rednecks have long hair and wear the flags on their ugly duds. |
So if it's now O.K. to wear the flag now days could someone please design some attractive jerseys to display them on. The only two flag type jerseys I have seen that I can stand are the old Brooklyn gum jersey and the national champ jersey. I also kind of like the U.S.A Cycling Federation jersey.
