|I just held a Giant Carbon TCR at my LBS. I weighed 2.0 pounds for a medium. They fork seemed pretty light, but we didn't have a weight. The shop said the only frame they ever had that actually weighed less was a Calfee Dragonfly at 1.9 pounds.
I'll have to say the frame looked really nice, in a straight forward, no nonsense sort of way. It has a nude carbon finish with some yellow and white graphics. It's monocoque, so no lugs anywhere (and no need for paint to cover them up). I'm not really into sloping frames, but for a really light one it should help stiffness a bit.
The frameset should retail for around $1300 to $1500, including fork and headset. Not a bad deal.
Anyway, just fyi.

|The limit is 14.99 pounds (actually 6.8 kg) right now. If that's a complete bike, with computer, bottle cages, pedals, etc., it's still pretty light.
If it were me, I'd go with light stuff and then maybe some beefier tires to avoid flats.

Giant is supposedly also issuing a "regular" TCR Carbon called the "TCR Composite" which is nude with silver and blue graphics. Did you by chance happen to see a picture of one? Also, did your LBS mention when Giant will be shipping the frames in any volume? Thanks!
