|I've been having knee trouble lately. It seems like it's when I'm pushing hard. It is in my right knee and occurs when my right foot is on the forward/downward part of the pedaling. I'm using speedplay pedals and the bike is a softride. I have no trouble whatsoever out of my left knee. Any ideas on how to fix this? Is it possible that its not a "bike fit" problem. It rarely gives me any trouble when running.

|It could be your foot is not aligned properly on the cleat. It's either pigeon toed or duck toed, if you know what I mean. Oftentimes only a slight variation can cause pain in the knee as it operates in an eccentric motion.
That's the first to check, at a bike shop if necessary. If that's not it, the pedal spindle or crank arm could be bent.
