What is the ideal ammount of rest for up to 6 reps at failure?

Thanks!

The lower the reps, the longer the rest period between sets. I would give it about 2.5-3 minutes of rest. That is just me though. 8-10 reps is usually about 1-2 minutes. 2 reps to failure might require close to 7-9 minutes of recover

I would give it 3 minutes myself. If you want to go hard core, start supersetting. Jump onto another/different muscle group while resting...

There are others here who could probably dial in the ideal amount of time a little closer than me... I powerlifted for a while, but there are other powerlifters in this forum...

3 minutes is a good guideline. if you're doing 6 rep sets, I would personally forget the clock and rest until I felt right, but I wouldn't let it get over 4-5 minutes.
this is, of course, assuming you are modelling your training on power development.
