|... this came off of the Cervelo group over at Yahoo... which is frequented by Gerard Vroomen...
When the Look team uses your bikes do you furnish them? Does your company get any recognition? What is the inside story on these rebadged bikes? Seems like Look gets the credit for your great bikes. Just doesn't seem fair unless the public is made aware of the bikes.
We can't comment on that, but there is some interesting information on
CYCLINGNEWS.COM in part 4 of the TdF bike overview at
Cervelo Cycles Inc.
Gerard must be priming himself for political office...

|Lance used to ride a Lightspeed in TT's that were rebadged as Treks. The top pro's have been riding re-badged bikes for years.|

|... but it's so comical cuz this particular frame is soooo distinctive... and it's a bit insulting cuz this particular frame is soooo distinctive...
What was that character that Martin Short used to do???
"Who told you that was a Cervelo? I never said that!"

|At 1st I ddin't really think much about this. But as you say it is a very distinctive bike.
When I really think about it I would expect a better form of loyalty from Jaja & Tyler. They are both excellent riders & I respect that but.......
Where is the sponsorship loyalty?
How does all this make Look feel about sponsoring them?
In a time when sponsors are fleeing pro cycling I don't think this was a great thing.
Yes rebadging has always gone on I guess but this one really sticks out doesn't it?
Makes this pic a bit two faced?

|We'll see what happens next year. Most people know I'm a big supporter of LOOK frames, but let's see if they react. To Treks credit, they developed a new TT frame for Lance the year after he rode a Lightspeed.|| |
