If he gets $800 for that, I wonder what the value of my jersey autographed by Lance, Lemond, Indurain, and Sean Kelly is worth?

My neighbor, a non-cyclist, bought a signed Maillot Jaune that was in a display case with a signed copy of Lance's book. He paid $500 for it. I'd rather have a new set of wheels.

What gets me is that this non-cyclist would pay that much and display this trophy??? He must have been drunk, afterall, it was one of those black-tie charity dinner/auction things. THey really push the booze pre-auction at those things. I know. I've made stupid purchases myself...don't ask...

This is how some people make money. I'd love an autographed yellow jersey and if I had money oozing out of wallet I'd consider it. But for that price it's easier to just fly to France or wherever Lance will be and stalk him till he signs it!!! :D

Nick

this is way cheap. Someone posted a link in an earlier thread which shows old bike parts sold for thousands of dollars a piece. Amazing.
