Giday to all!
Just got my Merlin built up today, and took for a 100k thrash session down the beach where I live. The verdict after coming home in a state of fatigued euphoria is that this is the best allround bike period. I have owned numerous steel bikes, top end Look carbons, Litespeed classic, and my last bike a Casati scandium and the Merlin really stands out of the pack. It's level of comfort is it's strongest point, as well as the lively ride which aluminium bikes struggle to replicate. The stiffness is on par with the Casati, but in that department I am pretty lucky because I have always ridden preshrunk frames, I am 5'7 weigh 145pounds. Yet to take it through the hills and I can't wait for that. I live in Melbourne Australia and I bought the frame of this web site in the classifieds section from a gentleman who really went out of his way to ship it for me. A big thank-you to him. Loved to send a picture but cannot as yet because I have yet to get a digital camera. Make sure you guys come downunder one time, some of the best riding you will ever do is in Melbourne.

Good on ya,

Congratulations on your new ride. There are those who ride, and those who ride well! I have a Merlin XL (non compact) and love it. I hope to get down under some day. Safe riding.

Heya ol,

Which store did you go through or did you go to bicycleexoticadirect?

Should be easy to spot you on Beach Road now that I know what bike you are on :). What else did you put on the bike?
