Do you think Postal went all out in the TTT ? Or were they just staying with in a comfortable standing to save them selves for the mountains. Also who is going to win the Overall team standing for this year?

Heras was out the back and they could not afford to lose him. He's needed for the mountains. At least that's my take.

The USPS goal was to finish all 9 without losing significant time, which they did. Knowing Bruyneel, he probably also wanted a close second just to give the pressure of defending the yellow to someone else's team for as long as appropriate. He wanted to make sure all 9 riders were well rested going into the ITT and mountain stages, and to do that, they all have to finish together because it's way harder to get blown off the back and ITT in trying to make the time cut. They held back visibly for both Heras (he had big trouble on the descent) and Joachim (wasn't firing on all cylinders the first 30K).

When they got to the third time check and received word they were >50 seconds down, then Lance Eki and George went to the front and started taking double pulls. They gained MORE THAN A SECOND PER K the final 10K; you can't tell me they couldn't have won the thing easily had they taken full pulls and blown some guys off the back.

I favor ONCE for overall team this year. They have great depth. Some of their domestiques would be GC men on lesser teams.
