i was thinking of buying a few old tour de france videos,anybody recommend a few good years,what year did Stephen Rochce win it or Fingon come up with the goods anybody remember robert millar?
Roche won in '87, Fignon in '83 and '84...Cima Coppi

You will not be able to find videos for those TdF's, but the '89 TdF is certainly one to own. '90 was exciting also.

If you want to see how Big Mig missed his 6th TdF, then check out the '96 year. Too bad it took Riis so long to win his only Tour. There's also this up and coming youngster by the name of Ullrich who begins his shot at the big time.

Although it plays more like a documentary than a race tape, it's well worth getting. I watch it two or three times a year. I'm still in awe of Fignon and wish he could have won more Tours.

I recorded it while it was aired and it is still my favorite tour. The drama of the final stage is what sports are all about.
