| Mavic Heliums | JuniorRacerFL Jul 9, 2002 3:18 PM | | Hello, i was wondering what you guys think of the mavic heliums? I was thinking of getting a pair because i want something light weight and cheap. I can get a pay for about 350. How do they hold up? I really just want to use them as like a climbing/race wheel only and i only weight about 115 lbs so weight shouldn't be a problem. Lemme know what you guys think of them. Thanks |
| good price | DougSloan Jul 9, 2002 3:26 PM | | At that price, it's probably cheaper than having something similar built for around the same weight. I know lots of riders who use them and love them. The hubs are very nice. The rims are identical to the Open Pro rim, anodized red.

| An alternative | Kerry Jul 9, 2002 4:22 PM | | You can get DA/Velocity Aeroheads for $270 and DA/Open Pro for probably $265 from Colorado Cyclist (the Open Pro wheels are on special right now with no price in the catalog). Just as good a wheel, if not better. |
