An Important Plea concerning OLN commercials.......I_See_Fred_People

this came up last year..i.e. "Runaway Shoes.com". I know for those of us who watch every bit of tour coverage the advertisements can be a bit repetitive. But people, if it were not for USPS, Mercury, etc...i really doubt OLN would carry the Tour. I for one, am going to support the advertisers, and may even email them thanking them for sponsoring the programming.
I agree in principle but...collinsc

but that music is driving me nuts. I can't get it out of my head! And the guy who plays with his car in unison with the music is just plain stupid. BUT I'm willing to watch them because the tour is so damn cool.

I had enough of those Lincoln spots to last me a life time watching the Giro.

Sell more ads!!!

I agree with you totally. Gotta support companies that support cycling, and let them know that you're their customer because of it.

We replaced our Sprint PCS phones with VoiceStream (Telekom) because of it, although it appears Telekom's sponsorship is on the rocks right now. I won't be buying a Hyundai, Saturn, Subaru, Lincoln Navigator, or an all-new Mercury Mountaineer however. And we already have a perfectly good BBQ.

Interestingly, I bought some Jittery Joe's coffee at a bike race earlier this year, and sent them an e-mail thanking them for their support of cycling. No reply. Thing is, the Jittery Joe's Espresso blend BEATS Starbucks hands down. I'd mail order the stuff if they cut the price a little and shipped via USPS.

But can it handle a pancake?
I don't get it...GK

Even WITH a griddle attachment, wouldn't the pancakes pick up that grilled meat taste? A properly "soiled" BBQ is no place for batter.

whenever I hear "commercial free" from the commentator, I know commercial is coming up.
wouldnt it be great if studies proved that commercials dont sellishmael

They could save all that advertising money, pass the saving on to us, and leave us in peace. I never conciously bought something I saw advertised on tv anyway.
then you'd just have to pay more for TV (nm)ColnagoFE

true, I'd still rather do that than be bothered by com. nmishmael
