|I'm spending a couple of days visiting my folks, as it's my mom's birthday, and I was hoping to do a group ride this morning that I researched online. I went out this morning to where I had left my bike to put some Prolink on the chain and top off the tires, and wipe off road grime from the last ride. I went to spin my back wheel, and it wouldn't spin. I loosened the brake cable a bit to see what was going on, and damned if the wheel is really out of true. I did a long ride on the 4th, and I think I nicked a few expansion strips and ruts during the ride, but I had not thought that anything was bad enough to tweak the wheel. I blew it by not going over my bike carefully after Thursday's ride, as I probably could have had the wheel straightened yesterday. The back end was feeling a bit wobbly on some of Thursday's descents, but I didn't think too much of it. Doh!
So I'll spend the balance of the day on the beach surfing and playing, but I really wanted this morning ride. I guess I can still get a Sunday morning ride in if I drop the wheel off this morning, but I was really into this ride around roads that I grew up on, but have never ridden.

|The guy put it on the truing stand, and it was damn wobbly. Hopefully he'll be able to make it okay to ride on by Monday afternoon. I am receiving a set of Mavic Cosmos from the UK, soon, but I need this cheapie wheel to be able to ride this week.|| |
