is it OK to say I don't like haiku?(14 posts)

is it OK to say I don't like haiku?ET

Never brought this up before, really don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, yeah I know I can just skip posts I'm not interested in, but there seems to be never-ending haiku from several posters, usually producing applause and imitators (sometimes of decreasing quality :-)). I for one love humor mixed in with the posts, but haiku, especially on a cycling forum, just never turned me on. Maybe it's just me. Sorry for the indiscretion.

It is hard to get used to, but once you get into it it can be fun. Of course bad haiku, like bad posts (mine included), can be painful.

Some people like rock, some classical, some both. For example, I don't particularly like rap because it sounds monotonous.

How about a haiku about kicking a little child's puppy?

I actually had one published. Here it is:

The Japanese proved
That poems don't have to be
Long to be boring

Actually, I logged onto this site to rant about Campy's arrogance in not testing its "Vento"racing wheels to meet the new ICU regulations.Just because they don't manufacture this model any more does nothing to diminish my sense of aggrievement because I know they are strong wheels and I just bought mine last year. Anyone in the same boat ( I know they were a popular wheel.)

Why do they use Campy wheels in the ICU? Or maybe you mean the UCI.

Yes, I do mean the UCI. I have no idea what the ICU even is, although I presume they are less arrogant than the UCI.
Anyway, since you noticed the post, do you have any thoughts on the situation? ie. are you adversly effected by this ruling?

At a large festival called Burning man there is a booth that will give you a beer for your Haiku

Be gentle, haiku
