a belgian superteam with axel merckx will be merckx frames.. unless litespeed has a killer legal dept/contract with lotto...

I think its just a formality.. although eddie has done some strange rebadge deals.. i just cant imagine him letting this one by...

Eddy has said that he would love the honor of supplying the teams with bikes; but let's remember that Merckx has a close relationship with Litespeed as well (his ti bikes have always been made in Tennessee). It would not shock me if Lotto-Domo rode some cross branded "Eddy Merckx, built by Litespeed" bike. Or an "Eddy Merckx Edition" Litespeed Vortex. Litespeed does have a pretty strong two year deal with Lotto, so I can see this as a compromise.
The real question is who has more money...eschelon

I recently read an interview with Merckx where he said his bike company made less than 1 million dollars...but it doesn't take firsthand knowledge to figure out that Litespeed sells more bikes than Merckx...therefore, Litespeed has more money to be the bike supplier for the new super-team.

The only way Litespeed isn't going to be the bike supplier is 1. Merckx is chosen based purely on nationality or 2. Litespeed is not interested in sponsoring the super-team.
Eddy orchestrated this entire dealNo_sprint

If that makes any difference.... Velonews implied how they felt on the issue, it would be Merckx bikes. Me? I don't know. I'd guess Mercx.
I agree ..no brainer ..btw I bet Axel makes the cut too. n/tDeRosaOrBust
