Cannondale CAAD 3 R400, Sh. 105...$950.00. Deal or not?MVN

I just went into a sporting goods store that carries Cannondale. They told me they are closing out their bikes (they don't sell very many of them) and offered me a CAAD 3 R400 for $950.00. It has the 105 group (it's my size) and is super light at least compared to what I'm riding now. The problem is they are closing out Cannondale from what I understand. The bike retails for $1189. I know it's not much off the price considering it's a closeout, but I figured it was pretty good for a light frame with 105. Whaddaya think?

Here, that bike runs ~$850, but it has Tiagra components, not 105. So...

My friend just got a CAAD 3 R600 for $950. It mostly 105s with i believe a single Tiagra part. Therefore your mainly Tiagra R400 dont look like such a hot deal IMHO.

This shop used to concentrate on bikes more in the past, but their business was taken away by a real LBS in town. I think these frames (R400) were frames they had left over and never put together to sell. From the sound of it they are just cleaning out their shop and slapping things together. For a long time they had no one working in their shop so things just sat there until the manager got around to them. Not a good way to run a department. I went back and looked again and the bikes are not put together very well. They are more into skiing, boating, and hunting stuff.
