|I'm looking to buy a 2001 Schwinn Fastback Comp. I normally ride a 58 cm frame. Would the Large or the Extra Large better fit me?|

|What you need to compare is the seat tube angle, (horizontal) top tube length and the head tube length to make an accurate comparison.
Since you have an existing bike, it should be easy to measure it for comparison.

|I have a Large Fastback...was riding a 56cm Schwinn Super Sport...
Like the other poster said, you want to be sure that the reach from seattube to headtube (and remember you'll add a stem, but that may have variable length) is right for you.
That's why it would be best to find out the seattube length on a Fastback Large, and Extra Large....since I have a large, here's what mine is:
60cm from stem center to seatpost center (this is measured right underneath the seat, in center of the post).
Add on a stem, and your distance from seat tube to stem center could be from 65cm to 75 or 80 cm.
So, take your existing bike and measure from center of seat tube to thecenter of the stem at the handlbars.
Tha should get you a better idea.
I like the Fastback...stuff, nimble. You can build it up pretty light...right at 17/17.5 lbs with D/A and Velomax wheels, mine is 18.5 with Ultegra and Velomax. Handles well...feels like a mtn bike, of course, since the gemoetry. But, I like it...it fits me well. If you can, try before you buy.
Hope this helps,
