With the Tour Prologue a little more than one week off, just curious if anyone is going to see one or more stages in person?

Due to work commitments, I can't take the time to head off for the mountain stages but will again go see the last stage in Paris. While largely ceremonial, it's a great day trip from the UK and last year, it decided the Green jersey.

The GF booked us on a 10 day bicycling tour to watch Le Tour this year! We'll be present for the Ventoux, Les Deux-Alps, and other mounmtain stages, as well as the Time Trial in Macon, and the final stage in Paris!

We leave for France on July 17, pick up on our trip on the 18th and are in Paris the 28, flying back the 29th! I CAN'T WAIT!!! My offcie-mates tell me I am fidgeting everytime I stop in to this board or other bicycling sites!!!

Cheers,

EJC

Two weeks tomorrow fly down to the Pyrenees for the week. Should get the chance to ride all the major climbs before the Tour comes through on the Thursday. Haven't worked out whether to be on the Aubisque or the Tourmalet for Thursday. Also fancy going over to the Casartelli memorial for Friday's stage - maybe ride the whole stage earlier in the week as the parcours looks more interesting than the day before's.

I'll be seeing the finish in Plouay on the 14th, riding the Etape on the 22nd, and seeing the Deux Alpes, La Plagne and Cormet de Roseland Stages! Can't wait!

Just happen to be in SaarBrucken the day stage two finishes. Not the greatest stage/place but hey- I get to see the entourage.....

And suggestions on where I should position myself near a finish? Is it hard to get a position to see the final sprint?
