I've had my Y-66t since mid Jan. I've only been able to put about 750 miles on so far. I'm noticing when I'm out of the saddle on climbs the bike creaks bad from, I think, the BB. I just had the LBS check it over. They tightend and lubed the cranks etc. The noise is pretty annoying. Does anyone else get this? The bike is carbon fiber, does that amplify the noise? I trust the mechanics. I would like a few other opinions.

I HAD a Y77 with Dura Ace. It creaked alot from the BB. I installed a new BB, Greased it, teflon taped it, tried everything and it just seemed to get worse. Finally I sent the frame back to Trek. They said there wasn't a problem with it but I did get a 5500 in exchange.

I have a foil, and, foils are notoriously noisy. The frame the way it is built effectively acts as a sounding board. This does not mean anything is wrong, just goes with the foils. There is a users group , for free, with lots of yfoil expertise, join up and send out your question

I just went through a bunch of strange noises with mine. it was worse on rough roads, but might quit if I stood or slighty shifted position. Somehow, I figured the joints were failing. The I put a bit of grease on my Look pedals. Noise gone. I've heard the creaking of pedals before on normal frames, and its nothing like what a Y frame does!
