|So i have a question for you all.. i work at a bike shop and i have been mountain biking for a long time but i am more and more interesting in Road, so i am puzzeled about what my first bike should be, right now i am thinking about a 2003 lemond zurich, I am highly partial to steel over alum. and i am trying to decide whether to get the zurich or something cheap for my first bike so i know what i want more clearly. i am spot on a 57cm in lemond with the relaxed geometry

|Don't know if price is an issue, but for three hundred less, you can get the Lemond Buenos Aires, which is also an Ultegra bike. The only significant difference is, it has slightly cheaper Bontrager wheels than the Zurich, and the rear tringle is Reynolds 525 (the Zurich is 853 stem to stern; only the BA's main tubes are. But I could argue that 525 is more comfy for a rear triangle, so it might be an advantage).
Just looking at the Lemond line, it seems when they bumped the BA up to Ultegra, they made it the best deal they offer. The Z's a nice
bike, but I bet if you rode each blindfolded, you couldn't tell the difference (or your butt might prefer the BA).
