I know it's not a roadbike so I start by apologizing. But I have a bike I love (1996 Trek 8000 - no suspension) and want to upgrade some pieces. Everything on it now is factory including Panaracer wheels. I want to make it more road friendly and would love some tips on wheels for the road. Am I crazy for thinking about a 75 mile ride on this bike?

I was looking for some puncture resistant tires for my commuter bike, which is an old mountain bike. The people at Continental suggested I try Town & Countries. They said the bicycle police like them because of their puncture resistance. I like them just fine for my use, but I only ride 7 or 8 miles one way to work. No flats so far.
