|I have some new riders this season and they don't understand (all) the reasons of hydration, carbo intake, why they should wear gloves, helmets; why quality shoes & clip-in pedals are beneficial, why cotton t-shirts are not the way to ride, etc. I explain all of this to one person, but then there's always another 'newbie' that repeats the same questions. Is there a site that would cover this 'newbie' information, or at least the majority of it....I know plenty of sites that address the technicalities to the experienced riders, but nothing for the newbie....?????
Thanks in advance.

|Dig around Sheldon Brown's "Articles for New Cyclists" at http://www.sheldonbrown.com/beginners/index.html
There are some good articles at http://www.roadbikerider.com/free%20articles.htm and if you join their free weekly email newsletter (full of good stuff), you will receive their "29 Pro Cycling Secrets for Roadies" e-book as well. If you are up to spending a little, buy their book, "New Cyclist Handbook" or "The Best of RBR for Roadies for $10.

|Great coverage for all of the typical questions.....
all except which is better: Campy or Shimano ?? (but that will come later as they become as 'expert bikers' like us.)
