I e-mailed Koobi and asked advice about saddles. I told them what of saddles I had, what I didn't like about what I had, what kind of rider I was along with what kind of riding I was doing. I got an almost immediate e-mail reply with a recommendation and an invitation to call and discuss saddle choice. I did just that and wound up buying the Koobi Silver model. That was over 700 miles ago, with two centuries and lots of training. My butt is very happy!

I have two of their original all black AU models (circa 1999) and love them. I have one on the MTB and one on the road bike. They had some problems with quality control, and I had to exchange two saddles before getting ones where the leather was installed correctly and the rails were straight.

Not sure what their current line is like, but I WOULD recommend them on comfort alone. Love both of mine now.

I just met 3 Koobi devotees while suffering through a mediocre saddle on Ride the Rockies. Can't take issue with the rave reviews, and I'm going to try one. Supposedly a great return policy, too (though I guess you are out the shipping if needed).
