|Can''t beat the view from the escarpment, too. |
I'm always cruisin' down the Niagara Peninsula.
Maybe one day we can wave to each other across the river.

Hamilton isn't that bad of a city to live in. Lots of bike stores and a number of decent climbs up the escarpment that can be linked together to give you a pretty decent ride without leaving the city.
And let not forget the '03 World Championships.

|,,, and work in Toronto is the cycling's a lot better in Hamilton - 10 minutes and you're out in the sticks. |
That and the housing's a lot cheaper. And there's a better class of street people. :-(
The '03 championships route will go up the same hill I climb. They're already paving some of the roads. I can hardly wait.

|Claremont or Queen St.?
I am more partial to the Ancaster hill (Main W / Wilson St), Vally Rd, and Snake Rd.

|I'd be curious to see what the TdF boys think of Effingham Hill down in Fonthil. Or Rattlesnake Point. |
Probably just mole hills to those guys.

|I think they would ask what happened to the rest of the "Hill". I am guessing those climbs would just be a warm-up for the hard men.|

|we rode a century around work. Got up at first light and rode 50 miles before work. Then we rode 50 after work finishing before dark.
Our schedules are just too full to do it this year though.
So it goes.

|Having a June 21st birthday was always cool as a kid. It had the most daylight time. More importantly to a kid, it was about 6 months away from Christmas, which helped spread the year's presents out evenly! Depending on growth and the condition of the old bike, a new bike could show up in June instead of Christmas morning.
I intended to take a long ride this morning, but a persistant health woe is keeping me home. I'll just have to make up for it tomorrow. Maybe a trip to the LBS... ;o)

|too bad you can't ride: go to the LBS, tell 'em its your birthday and maybe they'll give you a new bike (well, maybe a water bottle).|

|It's been raining here all night and all this morning. Looks like an all day deal. So summer stinks so far here. Has anyone ever seen Good Day Live? I just saw some of it today for the first time. What a terrible show. God I hope it stops raining soon.
Sorry about the griping.

|A Happy solstice to everyone. It'sa beautiful day in Chicago. Iwas going to go for a nice pre-work ride, but had to watch the World Cup game - a tough loss, but great game. We'll get 'em next time. Hopefully LA can beat the Euro's at one of their games this year!!!|| |
