I got a Zefal Husky (~$45?) as a gift about five years ago, and it's worked great. Before that I had one of those $20 Nashbar generics. It lives under my desk at work now--still pumping the lunchtime rides with no trouble. I put an occasional dab of grease on the seal or whatever that thing on the end of the rod is called.

Same as me. All steel and just keeps on pumping. Nothing fancy just works with little effort.
Topeak Joe Blow pump has worked well for me. (nm)bikedodger

Got one a couple of months ago @ TJ Maxx, of all places. Really nice features and I paid $20 for it! Prior to that, I had a Performance hurricane I think it was called? Worked well for over 5 yrs. Gauge just recently died but still pumps fine.

I could pump up to about 100psi and the pump starting getting hot and would stop working. Out of frustration, I put some chain lube(Prolink) on the stem and worked it into the pump. It's worked great for a week.

I got mine from Price Point two months ago for $45 and it rocks. It is a bit big but I just keep it in the garage so that doesn't bother me. It is the sturdiest feeling pump I have ever had and there is no problem reaching higher psi.

I'm on my second one in 15 years. One year into the new one. The best part is they are rebuildable and parts are readily avaiable. It's not fancy, it just works.

What kinda' pump you got? I've got an old red Silca I've been using for over 20 years. I've replaced the hose several times, changed the valve-end with a heavy brass one, changed the rubber gasket that goes inside the valve-end when it wore out a couple of times, and re-oiled the leather piece inside the chamber when it dried out and wouldn't hold pressure. Still works fine for me.
