|I just got an e-mail about BikeDC. Has anyone done the ride before? My wife would probably want to go and I'd like to do the ride with her. I was wondering how the 30+ mile route and the family route are typically configured.
Would it be feasible for me to do the family ride with her and then latch onto the 30+ mile ride?
And no this is not RadicalRon re-incarnated, I was not thinking of leaving her alone at the end of the family ride, we would likely do the ride with a group of friends and the ones interested in the long ride would continue and the ones who feel they're done for the day could start the festivities.

|It has been very successful and grown every year. Last years ride was just after 9/11 and security issues cut the course short so we did the loop several times.
It is very family friendly with lots of things to do, see and eat at the start/finish so your plan ought to work. Just be sure to have a clear plan of where you are going to meet after the ride as it can be very crowded.
