So, has anyone used that sunless tanning stuff to try and even out our goofy tans? Which brand? Does it work? Is it hopeless??

We're going to San Diego next week (w/o bikes) and I'm sure my ivory white shoulders and upper thighs will overshadow my new swim suit!! (yeah, yeah, SUCH a dilema, huh?)

Only other bikers can appreciate the true cool-ness of these markings! :)
Just go to a tanning salon....tronracer

Use arm and leg warmers. For the last two minutes take off the warmers to even out the tan. The fake tan in a bottle turns your skin orange and it it so obviously fake.

Yes, there are good tanners. Neutragena (sp?) and Jan Tana are good ones that don't do the orange thing. However, it won't necessarily duplicate your natural color. Be aware, though, that isn't going to protect you from burning in real sunlight.
why bother - tan lines (& untrimmed y'know's) are sexy ;-) NmSpirito

Your thinking of "message in a bottle", Police made in 1981 sung by String.
No, silly - he's thinking about "Thyme in a Bottle", by Crocerideslikeagirl

You can find it in the spice section of your local grocery store. ;-)

Don't you live somewhere around the Monterey Bay? It's been sunny lately. Go down to the beach! It's not like you live in Kansas.

Maybe if I'd planned it better. I don't think I'd be able to out-do four seasons of color in four days! :)
Go to your local bike racelonefrontranger

... and check out all the lady racers who strut around in spaghetti strap sundresses and/or skimpy shorts with their bike tans proudly on display, and SPF 30 on all the white bits to keep them from darkening. The more elite the racer, the more sharply defined the tan lines.

The ultimate sign of a super serious racer (male or female) is the strength of their *sock tan* :) I actually wear socks with sandals most of the time to keep mine as defined as possible... pathetic, aren't we?
Bike naked. Think before you post. No one cares about your tan.refusenik

They rate the different brands. I recommend Au Courant spray. Apply with a foam paint brush.
Jackpot! Thanks- nmrideslikeagirl
