Road Bike Rentals in Vermont?(4 posts)

Road Bike Rentals in Vermont?Sep
Jun 17, 2002 2:39 PM
I have a friend who is off to Vermont this summer for a vacation. She is an avid road rider and is debating whether to ship her bike out (it's a long way from Washington State) or try to find a rental...

Does anyone know of rental shops in Vermont that offer real road bikes (not hybrids, MTB's, etc.)?

Thanks for your help!

Let me know where in VT and I can tell her where the best shops are. I know 9 out of 10 personally.

I'll set her up!

If she is in Burlington tell her to go to EARLS Cyclery and Fitness-EXCELLENT SERVICE and selection

If she is in the middle of Vermont tell her to go to Onion River Sports-Excellent Eveything......tese places will tell her where to ride, where to meet group ridesall at her level of riding. Good luck
How about Stowe, VT?SingleThreaded

I called a shop in Manchester, and they rent Trek 1000's. I think that's about the best I could find. If she's gonna be there all summer, (over a month), I'd ship the bike. A friend of mine did the rental thing and got his position all screwed up and hurt his knees. Took him 4 weeks to recover.
