|Check out Bear Mountain. Take 9W from the GWB (kind of like the Nyack ride) and keep it lit. The round trip might be a century, although I thought Bear Mountain was only about 30 miles from NYC. Anyhow, it's close to West Point. The hill climb is a few miles. I think between 5 and 6 (unsure) of all uphill. The second half gets much steeper.
Also, check out High Point NJ or Skyline Drive. I believe High Point is the Highest Point along the east coast (within reasonable distance to the coast line).
A nice hilly ride as I explained before is the Palisades Park going to Nyack. From the Bridge you go left and down the hill. On your left is a hot dog truck and the enterance to the park. The park swings you back around to 9W and is about 8 - 9 miles. There's a few nice hills and a decent one at the end which is nearly a mile itself.
Then there's always the Catskills...

|What felt like the biggest hill was the climb to the lighthouse at the end of the Montauk Century. After 100 miles, the hills at the end just seemed so cruel.|

|Feel the need for speed. Head to PA., try Bear Creek Hill/AKA 115 right off the Wilkes-Barre exit on the PA turnpike, about 3 miles straight down. Been there, pick an off time to avoid traffic.|| |
