|For Fathers Day my wife gave me a very nice Polar S210 HRM. It has a ton of bells and whistles and after researching on this site seems to be fairly well regarded.
I can either keep the S210 or return it to CC, get the lower model A3, without all the bells and whistles, using the difference (79.99 vs 169.99) to get more gear.
Here is the question: do all the functions of the S210, like the mulitple HR settings and the interval training mode, get used after the first week or are they forgotten for just the basic function of HRM, which the A3 will do just as well? Are all the extra functions useful or do they just raise the price of the unit? This is my first HRM and I am looking for guidance as to what is useful over the long haul.

|Learn to use it and you will appreciate it's functions and your wife will be happy knowing you did not return a well thought out gift and you can ride stronger to your limits once you learn them. Even if she says to return it I think it would be a mistake!|

|Hey it's fun new toy, use it! Even if you use the functions occassionally it will benefit you. There is nothing like doing intervals by heart rate.|
