|Doug Sloan was good enough to post this pact a year ago today.
Who will sign on to a pact on the forum?
Not employ personal insults, malicious attacks, name calling, foul language
Speak to the issues, not attacking the person
Be honest and fair
State opinions grounded in fact or reason
Offer sincere help, particularly to newer riders and posters
Respect other's opinions, no matter how we disagree
Not respond in kind to others not respecting the Pact
Report violations to the Forum Manager: mailto:email@example.com
Who's on board? Any more suggestions?

|Rules can't be bent but not broken. They need to flex to the point where its not like your caging people up because if you make a rule at least some people will break it... whether intentionally or unintentially getting their point across.

|How about adding to the pact no bragging, no posing, no useless posts about one's self, no goofy URL's for a nickname.
Of course this is just my opinion, and I am not pointing fingers.
One of Nick's better phrases (gee, it would make a great new nickname.)
"I can hardly remember all my podiums at times"

|but I'll add something too. once a person has been sufficiently criticised for a mistake, everyone else should SHUT THE HELL UP. why you guys like to rub the salt and vinegar in, I will never fathom. it's terribly childish.|

|This post was never bait. It was an interesting post I read coming into this forum and thought since it was the 1 year anniversary of it it would be especially good to have up.
>How about adding to the pact no bragging, no posing, no useless posts about one's self, no goofy URL's for a nickname.
I'm a Canadian National Team cyclist. Considering the fact Canada isn't a cycling nation but one that develops its athletes very well, I'm not posing. And as long as you got the stuff to back up what you say and try to do it in a constructive manner its not bragging. Then this is a free forum... don't answer my posts if they piss you off. Don't even open them. Then as for my URL. It draws attention to my website. The whole point.
>"I can hardly remember all my podiums at times"
As for this comment. I had a brain injury and I have a lot of medals. I'm sorry for both affecting my memory as to all my podiums.
