Kenda Koncept K191 Vs Hutchinson Carbon Compcyclejim

I just ordered an Ultegra build kit from Jenson. When it arrived I found that they had substituted Kenda Koncepts instead of the Hutchy Carbon Comps that were supposed to come with it.

According to the guy I spoke with, the Kendas are a lighter tire. I am pretty clueless when it comes to road tires, anyone know how these tires compare?

Thanks in advance
I would go with the Hutchinson's but would give Kenda a chancejose_Tex_mex

Hi,
I have a set of Kenda's. They look nice but I would not put them in the same league as the Hutchinson. The Hutch is definitely a better tire - especially the carbon comps which I believe are twice the price of the Kenda's.
Supposedly Kenda is the manufacturer for other name brands who decided to get in on the action. So far I honestly cannot complain about the tire. No flats, handles well, and no complaints. However, substituting a lesser tire just is not good business. If you got a good deal give them a shot.
