Jamis Eclipse Frames????jim hubbard

Hi all, sponser is putting me on the 2003 jamis Eclipse frame. They have become a stockist here in New Zealand and are trying to push them. I would like an opinion on them. Ride quality, handling. I dont care about pricing etc. I have the option of riding the Alloy comet if I wish but the sponser is pushing the steel frame. I have nothing against steel, its just that I have been riding alloy for a while.

I've been riding one for a few months. I love it. My shop team is sponsored by Jamis, and another local team just started riding them too. Most of the guys choose the Eclipse over the Comet.
I went from a Cannondale to the Eclipse, so it was a bit of a change. The Eclipse is not as stiff as the Cannondale, but it is very stiff for a steel frame. There isn't much flex when I stand up, but it still sucks up a lot of the bumps. It corners great, I can't tell any difference from the Cannondale.

The Eclipse is an awesome frame and you should love it. Most of the Jamis Team riders use the Comet as a time trial bike.
