Brian was correct...due to the 'oversize'of the shippment, the shipping charges for the Ksyriums went to $107 (UPS/Air) from $35, but they also throw in wheels of your choice (I chose Conti GP3000, black) and I'll have to pay 5.5% Customs fee of $26.63; and this brings the total to: $617.63 (but that also includes the Contis, which are worth about $86.)....still less than the $800 ($886??). We can play with the math, but I feel that I'm ahead of the game...we'll see?

I know you prob don't want my opinion.... but as long as we are on the topic of Ksyriums, I just picked up a set of open pro's with dura ace hubs and can't tell a damned bit of difference between ride, and aerodynamics of the two sets of wheels. The weight is very comparable as well. I am not saying that these are not good wheels. I am just saying that $617.63 is a lot to pay for a set of wheels that has very little advantage over a $300 set. Ksyriums are nice, but IMHO not worth a dime over $400 bucks.

In my opinion there are much better deals for much lighter wheels out there.

A few weeks ago I saw brand new Nucleon tubulars on the web for $299.... Now that could be one of the best deals I've ever seen.
I got mine from Totalcyclinglook271

Addmittedly, it was 2 yrs ago, but I only paid $20-25 for shipping + customs. Price was slightly higher, but in the long run it would be cheaper. I disagree on the comparison to open pros. I love my Ksyriums and I'd buy another set in a heartbeat.
Taking the plunge..coonass

I already have the DA hubs on Open Pro CD rims (28Fx32R) and have had zero problems with them....just want to see what/if there is a difference in overall ride..besides, I haven't had to spend money on my rides in almost 18 months...time for a little splurge.

Totalcycling only tacked on $30 to ship a frame, groupo, Ksyriums wheels and some tires by DHL air freight (3 days to my door).
