it is big and crowded, but i think fun--nice party afterwards...and a good way for me to see if my legs are up for ride the rockies and the triple bypass this year. if you want to be able to be picked out of the crowd, don't wear an elephant rock jersey--or any other jersey like triple bypass or ride the rockies. seems that everyone wears those.

Can't decide if I want to do the Century or not. RTR will be my first if I don't tackle it in Castle Rock. I hear the Black Forest (the extra 35 miles) is scenic. Did 80 in Santa Fe a couple weekends ago.

That is probably the most scenic part of the whole ride IMO and not all that difficult--just a few climbs and mostly rollers. I really don't think this is an extremely hard century as long as the weather is good and the wind stays down. If you have big headwinds or bad weather then all bets are off.
