|...I saw a photo here a couple of months ago and a guy was wearing a Michigan jersey. Are there any other schools out there that have cycling teams with jerseys available for sale? And for the Michigan jersey, who can I contact to buy that jersy? - the blue and gold looked very nice.
Thanks in advance

|Voler has a few cycling jerseys for colleges, www.velowear.com |
You can also find college cycling jerseys -- including my alma mater, UGA -- at www.velogear.com
Just don't buy a Florida Gators jersey, very tacky.

|As the proud owner of a UF cycling jersey, I must point out that not only am I the best dressed cyclist around, but I ride much better in the jersey than without it. Perhaps this is because the orange and blue is a far superior color combo to anything else available. I put this jersey on and I am ten years younger and living in Gainesville again. This wonderful piece of orange and blue can be purchased through the Gator cycling club. And I am sure it will make anyone look, feel, and ride much better.
BTW If you want to see something truly ugly, check out Voler's FSU jsersey. Beneath contempt!

|From your handle, my first guess would have been that you were a Chapel Hill alum. UGA alum here, '87, currently living in east Cobb Cty. between Marietta and Roswell. Been looking for a team jersey for a while.|

|I grew up in Georgia (mostly) but have lived in NC for the past 16 years. Still miss riding those country roads around Athens, though. One of the toughest rides I ever did was about 90 miles solo from Athens to Lake Burton, almost all uphill. And that was back when a "light" bike weighed 27 lbs.|

|I got a UGA team jersey last year. Go to www.ugacycling.com and you can get the oficial team jersey.
The ones sold at velogear have slightly different graphics and sponsor logos.
Also at ugacycling you can buy older jersies and other team clothing.
The jersey is very high quality and I have even got compliments from Auburn and North Atlanta Trade School (aka Ga Tech) fans.

|but I remember when Floida-Georgia was a competitive series. :-)
Actually I was in Athens during the '96 Olympics and enjoyed it quite abit. There is something about a college town. FSU people wouldn't know about that.

|I graduated in 1978 and there was a stretch when Georgia beat Florida for something like 10 years in a row or more. Now the shoe is on the other foot. But with Steve Spurrier gone, the roles could very well reverse again. Actually, I think that's why Florida has been so successful against Georgia as of late, because Spurrier had a big chip on his shoulder after all those years of Georgia domination and took particular interest in firing up the team to beat the Dawgs.|

|Do by all means buy a Florida jersey, for they rock quite hard. UGA boy's just jealous because our jersey--and team--blows his away. Nyah! I know Notre Dame also makes 'em, if ya dig on the Irish.|

|any of the schools that raced in the recent NCAA championships--Velo News had a story on it. Dartmouth (Div. II champs, and my team back in the dark ages) said they had a few extras for sale.|

|If you are interested in a specific jersey then contact the cycling team at that institution and see if you can buy a jersey directly from them. That is how I got a cycling jersey from my alma mater. Go Quakers!|

|My fiance (also a Michigan alum) ordered the jersey online in May 2001. To make a long story short, the jersey actually arrived in time for Valentines Day 2002. The Michigan Cycling team only orders the jersey on an 'as needed' basis so it could take a while before they actually order some more.
I recommend calling the team contact (very nice guys in my opinion) directly to get an accurate indication of when you might get the jersey.
BTW - get the bibs as well. The jersey is sooooo sweet

|If you want a real jersey, checkout San Diego States. Made by Castelli (a real company not like Voler) from the same material used in the European peloton.
visit www.sdsucycling.org for contact info on the jerseys or www.hi-techbikes.com and email hank for info on purchasing one.

|Shoot me an email and I'll give you the person/place to contact. You should be able to link to IU's cycling page by going through www.indiana.edu and search for the cycling club so you can see a picture.
