I have a busy weekend ahead, I want to ride on Sunday, but england play sweden in their first world cup game at 10.30am so most of the Sunday morning runs are out. Are any of the London based contingent doing anything on Sunday PM?, anyone fancy a ride?, or even setting off early and having a break somewhere nice to watch the game?.

I'm doing the coast to coast this weekend - we're heading up on Saturday to Whitehaven - planning on an early start Sunday morning and making a good two - three hours down the route to watch the match - the guy I'm riding with is Scottish so he'll undoubtedly be supporting anyone playing England... - isn't the first match Sweden? as he's a Celtic supporter he'll be supporting Henrick Larson or whatever his name...

ah, the coast to coast. I grew up in the lakes, if the weather holds there are some really stunning routes up there. Watch out for the bit of the route that goes along the A66, then suddenly stops with a "cyclists dismount" sign leaving you either having to ride along a high speed road or push your bike on the pavement. Great!!
