|Cat fights and 3 Stooges scenes are not uncommon in our sport. Here are a few I can recall - please add your recollections (pro or amateur!) and we can all sit back and have a laugh, perhaps, and enjoy the Opera.
Vuelta a Espana, 1999 (?) Widely seen footage of two tiny climbers from Banesto, off their bikes duking it out at the back of the peloton. Pretty funny, really, two 80lb guys in cleated shoes clawing at each other like teenagers.
The Michel Zannoli School of Sprinting: he had a nasty habit of grabbing helmets, handlebars and throwing the occasional punch during sprints. Ask Davis Phinney - he was thrown out of the DuPont Tour for smacking Davis in the face.
Mario Cipollini School of Sprinting: photo from sometime ago clearly showing Cipo's hand reaching forward and pulling against inside thigh of rider ahead of him. If anyone can find this photo for me, I'd appreciate it!

|A few years ago, Tom Steels was thrown out of the Tour for throwing a water bottle at another rider in the middle of a final sprint.|

|Who can forget the classic scene in Breaking Away when a member of Team Cinzano sticks his pump in our hero's spokes because he's doing too good against them. Not exactly real life, but I'm sure it's happened.|

|And the terrible thing about this pathetic move by team Cinzano is that it ruined the the career of one of the greatest american racers ever: Dave Stohler!|
