|Does anybody know from whom or where to buy tix for the World Championships in Hamilton, Ont. in 2003? I know its early, and they might not even be available yet, but my wife said I can go and she wants to get seats at the grandstand on the finish line, so I'm excited. Actually, all I need to know is if, in the past, tix were sold directly by the UCI, or by the local race organizers.

|It won't get sorted out until well after the 2002's in Zolder are done. Seats on the finish line are usually only for corporate sponsors. I'm not sure of the configuration of the road course in Hamilton but that will also have a bearing. I was at the last year's Worlds in Lisbon and grandstand seats were about $10 and sold on a first come first serve basis. These were only on one side of the course, after the finish line and across from the pit area. However, the rest of the course was free of charge. If it's a closed loop circuit, it isn't always this way, it's worth your while to walk the course as you're talking about 5+ hours for the mens pro road race. BTW, the ITT is worth checking out. |
I may go to Zolder this year and the last time I checked, tickets weren't available and you know that being in Belgium, the fans will be out in droves.
