I will be in the Alps to watch the Tour July 24-27. I won't be on the bike but will have a rental car. How difficult will it be to get around? My main goal is to perch on a hillside as the race goes by. Any other links, sites, publications I should check out? thanks...
My advice: Take me with you and everything will be fine.AllUpHill

Really. Je parle français. Je ne mangerais presque rien. Je peux dormir sur le plancher!

Actually, this FAQ page has some advice (sections 5.4 and 5.8) on tour-chasing. http://draco.acs.uci.edu/rbfaq/FAQ/index.html

Good Luck & Enjoy

...it WILL be difficult to get around in the Stage Areas, both the day before and usually the day after. But try giving this number a call and talk with the specialists.
