That was the day I decided to start racing--Grewal proved that us skinny guys have a chance.

hey, got the Westerberg album. The Dylan comment/comparison is appropriate--kind of Sorry Ma, I Forgot to Take Out The Trash meets Highway 61 Revisited. Or something like that.

Olympiad was the finishing street, at the time known as O'neil Parkway. I lived a block away. My brother ran into Eric Heiden sitting on some grass a couple miles away after the end of the race.
