I'm about to purchase a Team SC and can probably ride either a 54 or 55cm (c-t) frame but am a little concerned about standover on the larger frame. Any suggestions from current owners would be greatly appreciated. Current bikes include a 54cm (c-c)kg281 and 55cm (c-t)LS Ultimate. Thanks.

as far as I know all Merckx frames are measured c-c. The standover shouldn't be too bad because of the lower bb and relaxed seat tube angle. My 57 cm Merckx (steel) has more standover than my other 57 cm bike. But if you have proportionately short legs you should look into this further.

Definately double check sizing. I normally ride a 54 cm...but since Merckx measures c-c, I ended up with a 52.

Good luck with the bike...you're gonna love it.

The LS 55 c-t is equivalent to the Team SC 54 c-c. I have the same setup as you, and the Merckx geometry is a glove-fit. Find somebody to buy your LS cause you aint gonna ride it no more. Have fun!
